IoT / OT dashboard preview

Supervised evaluation · ← Documentation

The PortGuardNAC dashboard brings classified CCTV, IoT and industrial devices into a dedicated operational view. It uses appliance network and authentication data to show each device in context. This preview is available for supervised evaluation and is not yet included in the generally available customer ISO.

What the dashboard shows

  • Classified IoT, OT and CCTV assets with their available MAC, IP, VLAN, identity, switch and last-seen data.
  • Device-level network and authentication details when an asset is selected.
  • Recent RADIUS access rejects as separate authentication events. A reject by itself is not an IoT / OT sensor incident.

Optional sensor and response integration

PortGuardNAC can accept a signed anomaly alert from a separately deployed, registered sensor and show it as an IoT / OT incident for the NOC. PortGuardNAC does not bundle an IDS appliance. Sensor selection, installation, traffic feed and detection rules are separate deployment work.

In a site-qualified pilot, an approved policy can request a quarantine VLAN through Change of Authorization (CoA) when a supported switch and a unique, recent RADIUS accounting session are present. If the session cannot be identified safely, the incident requires investigation instead of automatic CoA. A CoA-ACK confirms switch acceptance; an operator must verify the applied VLAN and traffic isolation before confirming containment. Investigation and release actions are recorded.

Before a response pilot

  • Install and tune a separate sensor, provide a qualified traffic feed and register it securely.
  • Classify the protected endpoint and verify 802.1X, continuous RADIUS accounting and an unambiguous active session.
  • Configure an isolated quarantine VLAN on the participating switches and validate their CoA behavior on the exact model and firmware in use.
  • Test normal access, a representative alert, switch VLAN state, traffic isolation, operator triage, release and recovery. Document false positives and sensor outage behavior before enabling automatic response.

Preview scope: The dashboard and response software have been evaluated in a virtual lab. No external sensor or switch implementation is included in that result. Customer availability and the integration scope must be confirmed with PortGuard before rollout.
